    • Who is William Yan?

      I am a graduate from Ryerson University’s Graphic Communications Management program in Toronto, Ontario. I love overseeing print production processes to ensure high quality output is delivered at the lowest cost to customers. I am passionate to learn more about packaging prepress equipment and other various types of emerging technologies. I have over six years of experience working with web and print technologies independently as well as collaborating in teams.

      In terms of my job experience, I have been working at Sunny Tang Martial Arts Center as an Assistant Coach, I developed strong relationships with my team and students and continue to enhance the meaning of sharing my passion for Wushu in such a very dynamic environment by helping others achieve their goals efficiently.

      As a Premedia Lab Monitor for Ryerson University, I applied my proficiency in macOS and Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop to assist students with technical issues. I am able to operate and maintain equipment such as Roland SOLJet Pro Wide Format Printer, Esko CDI Spark, Kongsberg V20 Cutting Table, Epson Proofers and HP Colour LaserJet Printers.

      Through my work experience and education, I have gained an excellent understanding of document design, prepress, press, post-press, estimating, sales, marketing and project management. I consistently meet all of my deadlines while exceeding expectations of customers and I am comfortable handling multiple projects at the same time.

      I am a highly motivated individual who loves working with people. Being a regular volunteer, various individuals throughout the community can attest to my abilities. I am confident that I can deliver exceptional experience to customers and enjoy any challenges that come my way.

      As a technology enthusiast, I strive for continuous improvement as I see fit. My extracurricular involvement and dedication to the print industry has been recognized by Ryerson as I recently received the Dean’s List Award.
